I’m so excited for the holiday weekend and looking forward to a few days of R&R. If you’re looking for something great to do with the kids before they head back to school, Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, otherwise known as OMSI, is always a great pick.
I can’t possibly tell you everything OMSI has to offer in a single post – you’ll have to check it out for yourself to know the magnitude of possibilities. OMSI has something for everyone. Their exhibits are amazing and continually changing. It’s like a huge play ground for any age group with plenty of hands-on excitement.
Here is a taste of what you can expect at this fantastic wonderland:
Omnimax Dome Theatre
Imagine 5 stories of stadium style seating where you can journey through space, under the sea, experience prehistoric times, venture through the human body, and many other BIG screen adventures. Admission: $8.50 general, and $6.50 youth. Click here for a schedule of movies playing.
Planetarium
The Kendall Planetarium is unique way to experience the solar system and laser light shows. Admission: $5.75 per person.
Submarine
Come see the US Navy’s last non-nuclear submarine – the USS Blueback. YOu can view this massive battle machine up close and personal as you imagine what it was like during its fully operating days. The submarine tours run daily and make sure to check out the awesome sleepovers and speciality tours. Click here for more information.
